Sydney’s most valuable asset may seem like her blonde hair and bright blue eyes, but this stylish southern belle means serious business... several of them as a matter of fact.
She has Sydney’s Shoppe of Beauty with a built-in Boutique in Phenix City with another location in Opelika. She just recently launched Sydney’s Event Suite and Sydney's on First Blow Dry Bar & Lounge in uptown Columbus, GA.
Sydney’s first job was working with Glen Puckett, a veterinarian at an animal hospital in Auburn. As Dr. Puckett became a mentor for her, she learned that she had a calling to be in a client-based environment with a focus on customer service. She loved getting to know the clients and learning more about their lives and families by taking care of their animals.
With a concentration on her future, she had close friends that were stylists and learned, through that connection, that you can apprentice to be a stylist instead of becoming a full-time student. Although learning to do hair was a bonus, she gives credit to the time she was an apprentice for David Dior with D’Allens Salon in Columbus, GA, for teaching her about business. After just one year with David, he encouraged and supported her dream to own her own business. She chose to start Sydney’s Shoppe of Beauty in her hometown of Phenix City because she saw a need for the type of salon she envisioned.
She knew she wanted her little shoppe to be more than just about hair. Sydney wanted to grow her business and brand, unite women, and grow the community. She needed a bigger place! While consulting with her aunt, who owns her own business in Atlanta, she bought a bigger place and added a boutique. Additionally, the coffee shop was added on one side and now the Event Suite is on the other.

Some businesses don’t care for children at their business, but I encourage it. I want to grow with your family… from her first haircut to styling her for prom.”

Our common mission is to empower women, and when I considered assembling a team to put my plans in place, I knew this was the most important common denominator. These girls each come with a unique set of skills, including grit and grace, and they share my love for the community.
When women support each other, great things happen. And that’s something that never goes out of style.
Being backed by these three ladies allows me to uphold my reputation as a master stylist and uncompromising customer service.
